Chris Brown and Offset began exchanging heated words on social media after Brown shared a meme that appeared to make light of the fact that 21 Savage was taken into custody by ICE.
The Atlanta-affiliated rapper was arrested Sunday for allegedly overstaying his visa, which expired in 2006.
According to ICE, he is an “unlawfully present United Kingdom national.”
On Monday (Feb. 4), Brown posted a video of 21 Savage rapping, but his vocals were replaced with those of English entertainer Big Shaq.
The Migos rapper apparently didn’t think it was funny.
“Memes ain’t funny lame,” he commented on Wednesday.
His criticism set off a chain of online exchanges between the two artists. The “Undecided” singer challenged Offset to a fight, and his page is now full of pictures that poke fun at Offset’s appearance.
Offset responded to Brown’s jokes and threats in an Instagram story Thursday.
“I aint really have too much rap for you on this social media s**t,” he began before addding, “but since that’s where you wanna take it tell the people why you hand your management reach out to sqaush the s**t.”
“Check my record and check yours only people you go toe to toe with is women … Oh and btw Ima smack the s**t out you when I see you!” he added.
Offset is referencing Chris Brown’s attack on Rihanna, which occurred 10 years ago on Friday. Brown was later sentenced to five years of probation, one year of domestic violence counseling, and six months of community service for the attack.
Brown later shared screenshots of what he said were direct messages between him and Offset. In the stories, which have since been deleted, Brown tells Offset when he will be home to brawl.
“F*CK YOU LIL BOY. BETTER WORRY ABOUT WHAT U GOT GOING AND FOCUS ON “YOU,” he wrote.
“CALL ME PERSONALLY. U WANT SOME CLOUT WHEN ALL U GOTTA DO IS PULL UP,” adding, “IF YOU A REAL MAN FIGHT ME,” he continued.
He ended his rant with, “Oh and another thing, “SUCK MY D*CK!!”
While Offset said he doesn’t believe Chris Brown really wants to duke it out, the “Loyal” singer just thinks the emcee is scared.
